Record Selection Standards
Every screen in the Membership Accounting System will provide standard options to access a record from the database.  These record access fields will always be in a pink color when the screen is not in the edit mode.  The user can enter the code in a code field to access the specific record.  A user can type a name or a portion of a name to access the record or first record that matches the information entered.  The record will be accessed when the “Tab” or “Enter” key is tapped.  It may be important to set the order properly when typing a name so the “Next” and “Previous” keys can be used to sequence through the data as entered.  When entering a name or portion of a name, if the system cannot match on the string of characters that were entered, the incremental search will be activated at the closest matching point.
